Luxury Apartments Being Built in Suburban Augusta – First of its Kind in Almost Fifteen Years

EVANS, Georgia (August 19, 2013) – NorSouth Constructs and Fickling & Company have begun construction on the luxury garden apartment development Lullwater at Riverwood. The development will total 350 units located in the highly desirable Evans submarket of the Augusta/Richmond County MSA at the prestigious Riverwood Plantation neighborhood.

“Lullwater at Riverwood will provide residents of Columbia County a brand new luxury apartment residence option,” stated Bobby Cleveland, Vice President of Fickling & Company. “Nothing of this quality has ever been built in the Augusta area to my knowledge”.

The one, two, and three bedroom apartments, which include energy-efficient features, will also include granite counter tops, 9-foot ceilings with crown molding, tile entry foyers and walk-in closets. A resort style pool complete with cabanas, an outdoor kitchen and fireplace, a clubhouse, and a fitness center are among the property’s common amenities.

Riverwood Plantation is the Augusta area’s premier master planned community situated on over 3,000 acres in Columbia County on the Savannah River and is home to almost 900 families with home values ranging from the high $100s to well over $1,000,000. Additionally, Champions Retreat Golf Club brings together, for the first time, three of the greatest names in golf, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Arnold Palmer. Each of the “Big Three” designed nine signature holes of world-class golf course.

“It is extremely gratifying to be involved in this exciting development as we embark on a longstanding partnership with Fickling & Company,” said Colin Edelstein, Director of NorSouth Constructs. “We look forward to this project and partnership setting the standard for this community and future work together.”

Construction will be completed in two phases, delivering the first 212 units for occupancy by spring 2014, with construction completed by fall of 2014.

Other partners that will be working on building the property are the architects and landscape company SGN+A Inc. of Decatur, Ga., Cranston Engineering Group of Augusta, and Design Environments Inc. Upon completion of construction, the property will be managed by Fickling Management Services.
